NOTHING

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE? Can anything arise that will threaten our relationship with the Lord? Who can separate us from the love of Christ? This does not involve our love for Christ but Christ’s love for us. Our capricious, fickle kind of love can run hot and cold and almost turn into ashes. Yet Paul emphasizes that nothing shall separate us from Christ’s love for us.

Indeed, no state of existence can separate us from Christ. He begins with death, the greatest and ultimate enemy. According to Paul, to die is only to receive more of Christ (Philippians 1:23). Also, no invisible, supernatural power, no span of time or space, or “anything else in all creation” can come between Christ’s love and the believer.

“And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

MAtthew 28:20b
