LIVING THE SURRENDERED LIFE
WHAT GOD WANTS TODAY from His children is new men and woman, rather than new methods - surrendered people, rather than just saved people, for it is possible to be saved yet not surrendered. As the believer maintains an attitude of surrender, a daily change takes place in his life, described in this text both positively and negatively.
”To be conformed” means “to be like, or take the shape of.” The surrendered believer is no longer conformed to the policies, fashions, and practices of the world about him. Instead, a distinctiveness of lifestyle sets him apart from the natural and carnal man. So many Christians are like chameleons that change their color according to their surroundings; you cannot tell the difference between them and the unconverted.
