EXCHANGE WEAKNESS FOR STRENGTH
ARE YOU RUNNING ON EMPTY? Do you go to bed tired, get up tired, and run tired all day long? Have you become quiet, sullen, or even withdrawn? Does God seem remote and disinterested to you? If these things are true to you, there is a powerful word about exchanging your weakness for God’s strength from the prophet Isaiah.
Isaiah tells us in this verse to wait, renew and soar. Waiting is not passivity, but an active, vigilant exercise that absorbs the power of God. The word ”renew” suggests the exchange of our depletion for His donation of new strength. His strength leads to our soaring like an eagle above our disappointments. He matches the strength of His resources to the level of our need.
