360 THANKSGIVING
JACK WELCH WAS THE CEO OF GE and a well-known corporate leader. He led a 360 review for all of his 300,000 employees. Everyone evaluated those above them, alongside them, and below them in the organization. He fired the bottom 10% each year. That was a 360-degree evaluation that resulted in loss.
The oldest book in the New Testament, 1 Thessalonians, refers to another 360 evaluation that gives grounds for thanksgiving. How quickly we revert to an attitude of entitlement. Yet all that we have is a gift of God - from the air we breathe to the vastness of the universe beyond. Beyond all material blessings, we should be thankful that our life has deep resources given to us by the abundant grace of God.
