YOUR MESS CAN HAVE MEANING

SOME OF US LIVE at the corner of Messy Avenue and Impossible Boulevard. Yet even in our impossible situation, there is significant meaning in our mess. God will keep us in our mess until we learn the message in our unreasonable mess. Even though He is already planning our coming restoration, we may have to move into our mess for a season. In other words, we have to maximize our mess.

The best way to do this is by blessing our mess. The fact that we are in a messy situation doesn’t mean that we cannot ask God to bless others even in the midst of our mess. He will see us out of our mess, but he can bless us even in our mess.

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
